Description
Spiff's Practical Engineered Solutions, a division of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, presents Super Sprite mk2 as a significant improvement in acceleration and handling over the original Super Sprite offworld miner by doubling the number of forward-driving large ion thrusters and increasing the number of gyroscopes from 4 to 6. This design change occurred because of playing survival games with hostile NPCs often resulted in taking damage because the ship would accelerate so slowly under full load. This new version greatly resolves that issue.

The Super Sprite mk2 offworld miner has six optimally-spaced drills for ore collection, and each drill is equipped with a conveyor sorter and ejector to collect only ore (and ice) and dump waste stone. At only 326 blocks, Super Sprite mk2 is highly optimized to be a mid-cost mining solution for survival play. Super Sprite mk2 has five batteries for power, but also includes eight small reactors for backup. The relatively short aspect ratio of Super Sprite mk2 allows for full rotational maneuverability within a mined borehole. And the front-facing connector makes docking and offloading ore a breeze! Lastly, with a remote control block, the Super Sprite mk2 can be used quite effectively as a drone miner simply by adding a mining script into one of its programmable blocks.

(BTW, the bumper wheels that stick out, although unsightly, serve to very effectively protect the underlying components from bump damage while mining.)

NOTES FOR BUILDING WITH A PROJECTOR IN SURVIVAL
See the last picture for the projector's configuration.
1. Build a rotor (or rotor frame) on a powered grid; remove the rotor head and replace with a small-grid rotor head.
2. Build a small-grid projector on the small-grid rotor head; load the blueprint into the projector.
3. The blueprint's grid pivot (projector reference block) is the bottom-rear bumper wheel; set the projector's vertical offset to -1.
4. Go forth and build.

Thanks, but I think you're confusing this one with my "Deep Reach Miner mk5". That said, this is my favorite survival game space miner because it doesn't require a lot of parts and it carries a reasonable quantity of ore. Now it scoots along a bit more quickly, an important feature when dodging hostile NPCs.

its a mk6, very good.
