Nod 02B: Smothering Presence

Description
GDI has kept a stranglehold on Egypt for many years. Meet with our local contact to secure your weapons and vehicles. Capture the air base so we can bring in reinforcements. Preserve as much local infrastructure as possible.

This scenario is a recreation of the second mission of the Brotherhood of Nod from Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn (1995).

Your objective is to seize control of the Egyptian Army Air Base to the south. The Nod platoon into Al-Kharijah is the first boots on the ground, so they lack the significant heavy firepower and vehicles to accomplish the mission. Arming these personnel is being left up to the local sympathetic civilians who align with our interests. A weapons cache has been organized by a leader in the local civilian community. Meet with him to confirm the cache location, arm yourselves, then commence your assault.

The air base must be cleared of all GDI and Egyptian Armed Forces personnel. Likewise, any helicopter gunships and attack aircraft parked on the tarmacs or the hangars must be destroyed.

Local infrastructure must be preserved. Do not destroy the air traffic control tower, fuel tanks, or the radar array. Secondly, we require local civilian support for mission success. Do not allow any harm to come to the civilian contact or his business partner.

Two full combat squads and a command section are at your disposal. These squads consist of 10 soldiers each, led by a squad leader, with 2 fire team leaders, 2 automatic riflemen, and combat medics, in addition to standard riflemen. All forces in the area are otherwise armed with NATO and Warsaw Pact-based weapons.

This scenario can be played in single player as well as cooperative mode with up to 25 players and a Zeus operator. Additionally, other mods such as Enhanced Movements, Injured AI, ShackTac User Interface, Walkable Moving Objects, and other programs can be loaded to improve your experience if so desired.

whats the map
