Description
"Outpost King's Cross is one of the most important strongholds of our inner defensive line. An hour ago, German forces launched a surprise attack on our outer line. Outpost Waterloo was swarmed by Infantry and vehicles. The enemy is now heading straight towards you. If they are able to take King's Cross, many of our strongholds will be cut off, and the entire defensive perimeter around Tobruk will collapse."


Overview


The Rats of Tobruk is a Singleplayer / COOP mission set in the outskirts of Tobruk, April 1941.

In Singleplayer, you will play as a British Artillery Officer, in charge of Outpost King's Cross, and the small number of Australian Infantry guarding it.

In COOP, you will play as the 9-man garrison of the Outpost.


Mission


You will defend Outpost King's Cross against increasingly difficult German assaults. Once armoured reinforcements have arrived, you will lead a counter attack, and re-take Outpost Waterloo.

For your defence, you will have access to 2x Vickers Machine Guns, 2x M2 Mortars and 2x 6 Pounder Anti Tank Guns.

[UKE]CombatTaffy The commands are a base game function when you're a group leader. The default key for the menu is the tilde key (the one below escape)

i have no such commands if i hit backspace the only options i have are "i'm down" etc

@[UKE]CombatTaffy The Tanks and reinforcements join your group, so you are able to command them to leave the tanks or move with you

i have defeated all the attacks and now set to retake the next objective ,but i can not get the Tanks to start moving in to attack. Is there something i should be doing please

@Dural_PL Are you playing with any other mods loaded? In the 2nd and 3rd waves some of the units will go through the village, they generally go from cover to cover so it will take longer before they are visible to you from the Outpost, but they will get there. I'm honestly not sure why you're immortal, no one else seems to have had that problem, it's certainly not a mistake on my end. I can only apologise that you had a bad experience playing the mission :FIA:

I just used the required mods; had problems with enemies wondering around in 2nd and 3rd wave; immortal - i was immortal, enemies couldnt kill me; also when i shoot my allies they dont take hits

@Dural_PL The mortars work fine, are you using another mod? There are path finding issues with the map, I cannot do anything to change that, but they do not freeze in place. Could you give a specific time that this happened and I will take a look. Not sure what you mean about the immortal thing?

no way to use mortars, enemies hide no idea where so game prolongs and u have to find them instead of defending; terrain bugs cause units to froze in 1 place; and everyone is somehow immortal ?
