In 1914 the Raven Army was widely regarded as the finest in the world, armed with the finest weapons and utilizing cutting-edge doctrines. Dragged into war by their ally the Swallows, they saw their chance to conquer other territories and invaded the neutral Kestrels, planning to take over their neighbor, the Roosters. With the invasion of the neutral Kestrels, as well as the threat of an expanded Raven state, the Eagles joined the war with the Roosters. While well-trained, their army was considerably smaller than their Raven counterparts. Nonetheless, they sent an expeditionary force overseas and waged war with the Ravens.
