De-roof mining

Description
This simple mod adds a new job to Orders that allows you to use de-roof mining, a job in which pawns will check for and remove the roof before mining a tile.

Optional toggling in the mod options for also removing thick roofs (remove overhead mountains).

May your colonists no longer get damaged or crushed by the falling roof because you forgot to babysit them during mining, and may you freely remove mountains now whenever and wherever you please.


The mod supports a Simplified Chinese translation, courtesy of user HawnHan.

That's a Steam Workshop bug iirc. Sometimes it just refuses to actually update the mod unless you unsubscribe and resubscribe.

Nevermind sorry I take my comment back, I just unsubbed, resubbed and restarted the game and now it works, even though 5mins this did not work. Anyway thank you very much for updating it!

This mod is not working for me sadly. When I put the order for de-roof mining, pawns go the spot but are just standing there, no mining happening. Reinstalled the mod, checked for the box in the options - nothing.

Works for me. Have you enabled removing overhead mountains in the Mod Settings?

Oh that is what you meant. Yeah that is by design. If I get some spare time I might look into checking if that can be omitted, but it shouldn't impact their timing that much, de-roofing takes less than a second.
