Waluigi, the purple-clad lanky cheatster from the Mario series, makes his grand surprise entrance into Rivals of Aether, after years of spinoff roles! Waluigi is snappy and quirky, at a moment’s notice shifting between various props and gadgets from his time as a supporting role, to truly make a mark in the battlefield, even if it’s annoying everyone!

SPECIALS
Neutral Special: Shooting - Pistol
We said Waluigi grabs elements from all over the place! Grabbing a pistol from one of the Events in Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games, Waluigi shoots some cartoonish ammunition to his heart’s content. You can spam this all you want, but as much as it’s annoying, this move has no hitstun!

Side Special: Off-Course Fishing
Just as things start to get good, a nosey Lakitu from Mario Kart catches Waluigi off-track, and fishes him away, unknowingly flinging him forward as a result! Lakitu will simply launch Waluigi forward with his fishing rod, but this move is quite fast and is a great movement tool.

Up Special: ATV Joyride
Waluigi hops onto a purple ATV and drives off!! You have a great range of movement while inside of the car, but your range of options afterwards are quite limited. You can, however, cancel the move into Waluigi hopping off the vehicle, and striking a stylish pose for the audience, with a hitbox!

Down Special: Go Waluigi!
The main gimmick of the moveset, Waluigi in his trickstery ways goes ahead and plays dirty, in the middle of the match breaking the fourth wall and striking an attention-seeking pose, as he calls out for the audience’s attention! This has many effects, while also acting as a hitbox against opponents.

This moveset is jam-packed with references to spin-offs such as Mario Tennis and Mario Strikers, with a fully refurbished sound effect list for the true Mario experience. A lot of attention was put into this mod, so we really do hope you enjoy it!
