F-50 "Guardian"

Technically way too heavy to be still called a fighter the F-50 Guardian can be used as a light short range patrol craft, with light Warp and Lightcruise capabilities, which makes it a good option for sector Security.
Its heavy Beam can take down Shields and apply crippling heat to any fugitive criminal ships and the smaller lasers can slowly wear the opposition down.
Its still quite undergunned because Heat is a thing.
