District Style: Gray-Roof Village

Description
A stone village with grayish roofs and a timeless look (without modern props -- for the most part. The pubs have some annoying things that are embedded into the texture of the model and cannot be removed, but this style needed more commercial so I ended up including the pubs anyhow - try hiding things with trees and shrubs).

Late to the party but I believe I am recognising Castle Combe in that picture! I live nearby, have only been there once, but there's something iconic about it :Khappy:

Maybe the eden project will work there but Alexandria was a failed project and I am making new cities

try zoning smaller places for residential - like 3x2 and 4x3 and 2x2, experiment with different sizes - the assets are all level 1 and will grow.

I see your "Alexandria County" image and I think it may be the way you are zoning. Instead of filling the entire strip try zoning 3x3 or 2x3 only. Let a single asset grow in that size of zoning with the District Style applied and it should be one of the gray-roof cottages.

The game prefers to spawn 4x4 and so if you zone the entire strip you will have mostly 4x4 assets and only a few 3x4 or 2x4 if the strip fills leaving leftover spaces.

Instead of using the "fill" zone tool try manually dragging and zoning only specific small sizes, leaving space between either as a "yard" or to later zone for another smaller building. Try also using small roads and spacing them closer together, like 2 or 4 spaces between the roads, and then zoning small home sites between the roads. This can help achieve the look of an old village with narrow lanes instead of a modern city with modern roads spaced a full city block apart.

Well....if you have the Collection and you are applying the District Style then the buildings should spawn-in. It works quite well....do you have any screenshots of the part of your city where you apply this District Style?
