Description
1ST NOTE (VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!): Before playing this mod, make sure to have both Part 1 and Part 2 installed AND enabled! The map transition between the two mods will not work if not followed correctly.

2ND NOTE: Please check the "Change Notes" tab to see what has been updated for the mod.

3RD NOTE: Before playing, disable the addon "The Detonator" if you have it installed and enabled; it causes the map to break when using the health station at the end.

This is part ONE of the addon. This mod is an updated version of the popular "C17YSCAPE." The reason why I decided to create a new one is due to the limitations of the Steam Workshop. It's also why it's in two parts.

Taking place in City 17 during events between Half-Life: Alyx and Half-Life 2, you are a citizen who was just now captured by the Combine and and kept prison in a Combine-occupied building. You manage to get yourself free when the fields malfunction and shut down. However, you still need to find a way out of the building and escape City 17. Will you make it?

Hi there! This is my third map that I would release for HL:A and I would like to appreciate everyone for playing my map and giving me feedback on some the issues it had! This is also a mod where I've decided to go all out on putting as much features as I can, including detail, scripted sequences, gameplay mechanics, etc. As a result, this took around 5 to 6 months to finish it. I've also felt doing this because at the time I was working on it, there wasn't a decent amount of maps in the workshop that seemed interesting enough or were in a polished state. I'm not trying to offend the map creators, though. I was just saying that I have yet to see another mod that would become as good as the best ones we have in the workshop so far (e.g. "Overcharged").

Pretty challenging! I had a bunch of fun and stress while playing this mod, the combat is good and pretty rewarding when you find ammo since you barely have any ammo. First time I played this mod was a year ago and ragequit on the first part. Then I tried again,I played this on hard and wow that last part was fun. I also somehow managed to not die for the first part and started to die and the end fight. Id like to see you make more of these!

I have 2 problems with this:
1. No ammo to find anywhere in the first section, besides the small box next to the lift which was hard to get to when you had to rush through enemies with 0 ammo in the magazine.
2. Also no indicators/visual cues on where to go, so expect to run around a lot.

(Could also be skill diff I guess :headcrab:)

Great map. Definitely would recommend. Felt like it could've been a level in the base game. The only thing I'd suggest is maybe giving the player 1 or 2 extra mags for the first combat encounter. I had to drop the difficulty down to complete it as I ran out of ammo on my other attempts despite scavenging every nook I could find.

I really like all the details and props that were carefully placed around. I especially liked how in the beginning the shotgunner guarding the prisoner is absent from the cell after the first combat encounter. I like little details like that. I hope you make more stuff.

Great mod! I’d like to suggest adding a 3rd note to the description to help players avoid an issue with the transition between parts. Something like this:

3RD NOTE: When starting the mod, always launch it with both Part 1 and Part 2 enabled in the mod settings. If Part 2 is not enabled from the start, the transition will not trigger, and you'll need to restart with both parts active.

I made the mistake of only enabling Part 1 and couldn't progress to Part 2 because it wasn't active in the settings. This could help others avoid the same issue!

I tried a few times to do the first part after you get your gun but didn't have enough ammo so I'm just gonna uninstall it

Great work, enjoyed this from start to finish. As others have said ammo is a bit on the scarce side but other than that it's perfect!

Don't know if it's the same "wheel puzzle", but for the life of me, I can't find the missing... alien-inside-the-wheel thing. Can someone please tell me?
