Description
German InterRegio sets from the 90s. Operated between 1987 and 2006, the service had its peak in the 1990s as cheaper, slower alternative to the InterCity trains. In late 2002, the profitable routes were upgraded to Intercity status, the others downgraded to regional services or discontinued. A few connections were retained until 2006.

Included are coaches, a cab car, electric locomotives of classes 111, 112 and 120 as well as the Class 218 diesel locomotive.

Locomotives:
Br 111 (160 kph, 3620 kW)
Br 112 (160 kph, 4000 kW)
Br 120 (200 kph, 5600 kW)
Br 218 (140 kph, 1487 kW)

Coaches (all capable of 200 kph):
Bimz 259: 60 seats (2nd class, compartments + open plan)
Aimz 261: 50 seats (1st class, compartments)
ARkimbz262: 18 seats (1st class, bistro)
Bimz 264: 66 seats (2nd class, compartments)
Bimdzf269: 44 seats (2nd class, cab car)
Bpmz 292: 80 seats (2nd class, open-plan)

The Class 218 locomotives are limited by their ability to supply the train with power (up to 7 coaches). For longer trains, two engines were used, but due to the limitations of the German remote control system, that prohibited the use of a cab car.
