The reimagined version of the mod is now available for all of us!

As of what's to expect: polished mechanics, mob changes, removed weapons and unnecessary gimmicks, and plenty more. Be careful though. This mod is not compatible with that version. Transitioning between mods might also cause pre-existing weapons to be deleted (my modded weapons).

This One is Very Outdated
Outdated as in there are some pretty unbalanced, unnecessary, and difficult weapons within this version. The remastered version will fix these issues, removing and polishing features to become more simple but effective. Other issues this version contains have been fixed with the remastered version. Regardless, criticism is the best thing you can give to help (not demand, there's a difference).

What This Version Contains
Many weapons now have new tricks up their handles. From new fighting techniques to refined visuals and sounds, the things you use to bash, slash, or whack with are now distinct from one another. Some familiar and new weapons also join your arsenal, but the playstyle is all up to you.

The re-upload will have the sounds packed into a custom file, so it won't need to credit <domyslyn> anymore.

Charlie is not present in the reimagined version. She was an experimental asset, but she serves no other purpose.

The Foundation
The mod was originally an experiment to see how the Steam Workshop would work. As things progressed, more and more features were thrown in to see what happened. It turned out that caused everything to become very unbalanced. Now that I have access to all of DST's mod tools, I will re-shape the mod to become something other than a sandbox.

Weapon Classes
Weapon classes are made to give a general idea for the many weapons that are affected. Each weapon can be configured to some different classes or to have no class entirely. Note that the remastered version may not have the same stats.

Basic Weapons:
- On Hit: 20% chance for next attack to be a triple chop

Spear Weapons:
- On Hit: 20% chance for next attack to be spinning spear slash
- Wigfrid has a 10% chance to gain a battlecry upon a successful hit

Blunt Weapons:
- On Hit: 20% chance for next attack to do swing followed with a jump and slam
- Area of effect on slam
- Area of effect deals 15 damage for each nearby target

Proximity:
- Two Modes of Attack According to Range
- Modes Automatically Switch with Proximity

Heavy Hitters: (Planned Removal)
- If Inactive After Attack: Parry for One Second
- Parry can be canceled by moving or attacking

Lock 'N' Load:
- Shoot when loaded
- Melees when empty

Less than Lethal:
- Incapable of actually attacking, but makes up with unique abilities

Shadow Bound: (Planned Removal)
- Powerful, but at the cost of sanity
- Low sanity will cause difficulty using the weapon

Specialized Weapons:
- Weapon changes that don't fit the other classes

I like this version better than the new one, because the new one the dark sword doesn't have any abilities, but this version needs to be updated, it freezes when building equipment in the Ancient tower, and the equipment from the fairy book is not compatible

I forgot to mention: Charlie only visits you when you're alone. If you kill a boss with a friend nearby, she will still come back if you're alone and you return to the same spot.

That would be when you kill a boss with either shadow weapons. I added her when the mod was in its experimental stage. She won't be in the reimagined version since she doesn't really do anything but play a sequence.

Maybe hints of her will appear when I work on a mod for the Hallowed Nights challenge.

How can i encounter Charlie and get the Rose Dark Spear from her again ? Kinda missed the first time she appeared and failed to show my friend :(

Yeah i saw thats pretty clever to say the least, and im happy u finally took a break and now going at a pace u can enjoy (hopefully). A mod should be ur passion project not a 9-5 so take ur time, just from what i can see so far ur mod is going to be great. Cheers!

Of course. It's something to help me get back into action. I'm proud of this mod as well; the problem was that I felt like I was being used. That especially showed when the original version broke and couldn't be updated. I ended up forgetting that this isn't a full time job until I gave myself a break.

Also, a sneak peak into what I'm adding for "The Black Death," I'm working on making a more violent cough. Instead of the old Wigfrid animation when she fails to sing, this cough will be similar to the one from the Gorge (when players turn into merms). I'm also going to remake the stategraph to make the scene look and sound even more brutal.

I'm making my way back. Even though the recent logs have been pretty negative, I'm feeling pretty well. Already, I've been slowly working on the mod, and I'm even working on a custom animation for another mod (for animation practice and a gift to "The Black Plague"). I've got some detailed info in the Developer's Log of how things are going for the mod and some personal things. It's a diary, if anything, but also a checklist of what's next. Some of the negative thoughts in the logs are mainly to help get people to stop trying to use me.
