The Macharius Vanquisher

The Macharius Heavy Tank, often referred to as a "Second-Generation" Baneblade, is a heavily armoured tank of the Imperial Guard. It is larger than the standard Leman Russ Tank but smaller than the Baneblade it was built to replace when none are available. Macharius tanks are built by Adeptus Mechanicus Forge Worlds that are eager to secure large military contracts, but do not possess the Standard Template Construct (STC) designs which are needed to manufacture super-heavy battle tanks such as the Baneblade or Shadowsword.

Many Forge Worlds even lack partial STC designs for these tanks and are unable to create any of their lesser variants such as the Stormblade and Stormsword. Only a handful of Forge Worlds are allowed access to the original STC designs for these ancient and powerful war-machines, and a Mechanicus Magos may petition Mars for access to these designs for centuries or even a millennia without success. As a result, these Forge Worlds may turn to the manufacture of the more readily available Macharius design.

The Vanquisher Pattern of Macharius Heavy Tank is quite similar to it's more common counterpart, the Macharius Conqueror. On the Vanquisher however the two Conqueror Pattern Battlecannons are replaced with Vanquisher Pattern Battlecannons. Where the Conqueror Cannons are highly versatile, being able to be manufactured and fired relatively cheaply and against pretty much anything this hostily Galaxy can conjure up, the Vanquisher Cannon is far more specialized. Its Shells being much faster and with a way bigger Payload. In addition the Vanquisher Cannon itself is by design far more accurate then any other Pattern of Battlecannon, making the Macharius Vanquisher a highly sought after Tank Hunter for any Imperial Commander.
Like the Conqueror, the Vanquisher features Heavy Stubbers and Bolters for use against enemy infantry and light armour.

Additional Information
Please note that the Macharius Tank is not in and of it self slow, although the AI tends to drive with it really slowly. This is caused by the programmed AI behaviour interacting with the overall size of the tank and thus can not be fixed on my end.
