Knox Class Heavy Patrol Boat

The Knox Class is a standard but strong patrol boat built to take on all sorts of crafts at a cheap price point. The Knox has solid defense and solid offensive weaponry as well.

The Knox is armed with a frontal APS railgun that uses an ACB system to choose its ammo, but normally relies on APHE, it also has several medium frag/emp missiles and two large HE torpedoes on the rear. At close ranges the CIWS/AA will also fire small 36mm ap rounds.

Defensively the knox is a bit better off, it has a medium size CIWS that fires out fast small AP rounds with great accuracy and also has smoke, strength 10 shields and a LAMS system alongside radar decoys and a lot of small torpedo and missile interceptors.

The main built in weakness of the knox is low damage output. As this is a patrol boat, it isn't meant to take on anything too big and doesn't have the best weaponry to do so. The CIWS also only has three layers of armor, two of which are slopes to protect its mid-section so one good shot should destroy it. Lastly, the protection on the medium missiles has been decreased to make them easier to destroy.
