Description
DISCLAIMER: 1) The comparison screenshots featuring the "standard" units were taken with Gigiauz's Uniforms and Heraldry of the Greenskins mod and Deco's Expanded Roster - Greenskins mods enabled, as such comparison with vanilla units will look different.
2) While this mod technically adds new units, Is still a purely cosmetic mod.
These "new units" are nothing more than skins because, statwise, they are 100% clones of preexisting vanilla units/units featured in Deco's Expanded Roster - Greenskins.
3) While this mod features ROR units they are ROR in name only, read the QA section to know more.
4) This mod was created with High/Ultra unit detail in mind.
To get the best visual outcome and to enjoy this mod to the fullest I STRONGLY suggest you to set your unit detail to Ultra or, if you can't afford that, at very least to High.

This mod wants to be a continuation, rather than a full restoration, of Uzo's Greenskins reskins from Warhammer 1

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=820032897

To make this compatible with other reskin mods I made individual "clone units" with Uzo's reskins attached.
This mod features the following skins:
-Black Legion Orcs
-Black Legion Orcs (Great Weapons)
-Black Legion Orcs (Dual Weapons)
-Black Legion Goblins
-Black Legion Goblins (Spears)
-Black Legion Goblin Archers
-Black Legion Goblins (Fanatics)
-Black Legion Goblin Archers (Fanatics)
-Black Legion Goblin Squig Hoppers
-Black Legion Da Warlord's Boyz (Night Goblins)
-Black Legion Da Eight Peak Loonies (Night Goblin - Fanatics)
-Black Legion Da Rusty Arrers (Night Goblin Archers)
-Black Legion Durkit's Squigs (Night Goblin Squig Hoppers)

While this Is completely standalone I strongly suggest you to use It along these mods for the best immersion:

*QA*

Time to clarify your possible doubts about this.

-"Do you have Uzo's permission?"
No.
That's due to the fact that the guy Is not active on Warhammer and other workshops since 2017.
While he did express the intention to port his original mods to the Warhammer 2 workshop as a matter of fact, and as far as I'm concerned, He never did.
Asking for his permission would be also pointless since a guy asked a similar thing opening a discussion in one of his mods and He never get a reply from Uzo.
Taking all this into account, I think that we can safely assume that Uzo Is not interested in modding anymore.
I'm still naming this after him and I'm still giving him full credits, because It's the right thing to do no matter the case.
-"Why did you create this mod? Graphic mods should never get out of date no matter the case!"
Firstly, I did make this mod because I really loved Uzo's reskins back in Warhammer 1 and I missed them a lot.
Secondly, while I generally do agree on that statement there are, of course, exceptions.
Even back in Warhammer 1 not only me but multiple people at some point have experienced functionality problems with Uzo's reskins, I don't know how and why but that's the thing.
So yeah, I don't think that just dropping his mods inside the Warhammer 2 Data folder would have magically resolved everything.
The original mods were so outdated that, in fact, RPFM saw them not as Warhammer 1 mods but as Rome 2 mods, just saying.
-"Why did you change the name though?"
I did change It for two reasons.
Firstly, as I already have mentioned above in this description, this Is not meant to be a full restoration but a continuation.
That's due to the fact that I have included new units which were not present in the original mods.
Secondly, I personally tend to dislike any mod that start Its title with better or something similar.
While I absolutely do not judge people who use those titles, I also do believe that what Is better to one can be worse to another and the other way around, way too subjective if you ask me.
I do think that Black Legion, while by no means an original and cool title, It's a fair one.
-"Why some units don't exactly look like their Warhammer 1 counterparts?"
That's due to the fact that CA made some colour schemes changes in Warhammer 2, especially with Black Orcs in our case.
Plus, while the vast majority of Uzo's work was successfully ported to Warhammer 2, Warhammer 1 Azhag's weapons modified by Uzo showed major missing textures and errors, as such I had to replace them with Warhammer 2 Azhag's weapons which are still fairly similar.
-"You mentioned the fact that this includes Deco's Expanded Roster - Greenskins unit clones.
Did you take stuff from Deco?"
No.
While they do are clones of those units, they are in stats only, I didn't take anything from Deco, No models, No Decals, No unit cards, nothing.
And I would not do such a thing before having his official permission.
Everything you can see in this mod Is either from Vanilla or from Uzo.
While Uzo Is actually credited in Deco's Expanded Roster - Greenskins mods as contributor/inspirator It wasn't stated how much and for what, so as far as I'm concerned I'm not doing anything bad here.
If Deco or other people that were previously involved with Uzo's works believe that I need to credit them too for this mod I will gladly do that, just let me know down in the comment section and I will add you to the credits.
Putting all of that aside, while you can play this as standalone, I still strongly suggest you to use this along Deco's Expanded Roster - Greenskins mods, It would be a shame, after all, to have skins for Deco's units without the original Deco's units to make comparisons and to fight along them.
-"What do you exactly mean by ROR in name only?"
Exactly that.
They are supposed to be ROR unit clones but they can't be recruited from the ROR pool and as such they also lack the instant recruitment feature, for everything else they are still ROR units.
I tried to fix this problem multiple times and I also tried to use a script but to no avail, the ROR pool simply refuse to accept my ROR units.
So yeah, you will be able to recruit this ROR units through normal buildings with the same cost, upkeep and cap.
You will also still get the "units unlocked" pop up after reaching the required level.
-"Is this SFO compatible?"
No.
This Is not a traditional reskin mod, because It adds clone units based on vanilla friendly stats.

*COMPATIBILITY*

It should work with pretty much everything, even reskins.
Can't grant that for Dryan/Hooveric reskin, since I don't use It.
Since this mod adds units Is NOT save compatible, you'll have to start a new campaign.

*KNOWN ISSUES*
-None, for now.

*UPDATES POLICY*

Let me be straight with you...when the mod status change from updated to outdated....if you start to spam in the comment section things like "update pls, OMG UPDATE, can we have an update my good sir?, UpDaTe!1!1!1" and similar stuff....know that https://media.giphy.com/media/e3URFlLQywEPC/giphy.gif

...But jokes aside: please don't do that.
When it becomes necessary, and when I can, I will update my stuff, do not worry.

And that's all I guess!
Credits time!

I would also like to thank Sebidee and Caligula for their great modding guides!
And I would like to thank you!
Whatever you liked my mod or not thanks a bunch for giving it a try!

Ok, just tested myself and I can confirm that this works with We'z.
BUT, these units are not available for the custom factions included with We'z like Blue Vipers and Redvenom.
Also, I don't know If this Is intentional or the result of mods conflicting with each other but I can't find Black Venom nor Red Cloud in the custom battle section.

@Purge8642 I'm notoriusly bad with units cards sadly, that's the best I can do.
Anyhow nice suggestions, not entirely sure If this going to 100% work with We'z but in theory It should.
Purge8642 27 Apr, 2021 @ 2:30am
I'd like to make the suggestion to improve the unit cards, they don't really fit the ingame artstyle and it's really heard to tell which unit the card is from a glance. Saying that, I've never made unit cards or videogame artwork for cards or units before so I don't know how difficult they are to do. If you want to improve them, I'd start by looking up how to make TWW2 unit cards online or ask someone in the modding community how they do it.

I've downloaded your mod and am looking forward to trying out the units. I'd also like to recommend some Green Skins mods since this mod recommends a few already. Black Orc Arrers, Greenskin Unit Roster Expansion, Greenskin Mount and We'z Speshul.
