Designed to get started with the easy campaign start, it can definitely overwhelm smaller ships in the first boarding turn and get that sweet loot. It's reasonably fast and agile, when fighting much larger opponents you have to avoid their broadsides at all costs as they will demolish the sails and render you a sitting duck. I've found it's possible to kite them and whittle them down but that also takes a good bit of luck and patience.
