The Dagger class was primarily used as an assault weapon. Being deployed against ground bases and larger capital class vessels. Tasked with hitting key areas and escaping quickly before an attack in order to soften the target.

The Dagger was an unpopular ship amongst pilots, unlike an Alto or an Orion class you have next to no armour, and were thrown into battle ahead of the cover of PDT fields. However, they proved effective, especially at hitting capital ship bridges and other soft spots.

They became known as 'artillery' to LKF ship captains and were called in so frequently that jokes started to go around about using them being 'easy mode' for ship to ship battles. Despite this, they weren't widely available, and if the enemy vessel had a sturdy PDT grid then they were next to useless.

Description

The Dagger class is a strike bomber design to smash targets with one or two attack runs and get out of there for the heavier ships to finish the job.

It is powered by a single small reactor and multiple batteries, uses ion and hydrogen thrust to fly.
