BNSF C44-9W No. 4951 (H2 scheme)

Description
BNSF 4951 - not to be confused with DC 4951 - was built by GE and entered service in December 1998. From the outset, she was painted in the H2 livery, and throughout her 22 year service life has visited many different parts of the U.S.A. - the states of California, Minnesota, Kansas, Dust in the Wind, Oregon and Illinois to name just a few.

As of August 2020, BNSF 4951 is now stored in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma facing an uncertain future. The C44-9W engines are gradually being retired as railroads turn to engines with AC traction motors instead of DC.
