Weird. I am using latest PFM.

Pack File Manager. That was, aside from Adobe Photoshop, the tool used to compile the mod.

I did what I thought was right but the game won't run, what did you use to make this? My mod crashes the game.

@ Noob

The original screens from the first version of the game are very different. Someone could probably do that kind of mod, given enough time. I don't believe I want to invest that kind of effort for my part.

Could you edit this mod for Emperor Edition so it looks absolutely indistinguishable from the original interface?
The current state is good, but the loading screens are awkward and the loading bar is still from Emperor Edition.

Hi Caleb,

Yes those buttons, and I think you mean the other set on the right, have always been white. I looked back at the color scheme in some YouTube vidoes and that set of buttons has not changed. The ones I made red were that color initially until CA decided to change them to white.

The white scheme for those buttons on the left was simply terrible.

Thanks for the comments!

I love you for getting rid of those horrendous marble white buttons and replacing them with the classic red. However some of the buttons still retain the white. Is this intentional?

I noticed that for instance the military buttons are all red, but the diplomacy trade, close buttons etc. are still white.

For anyone who would like to use this mod in combination with other mods that may also modify the UI as part of their mod, there is a way: Get Pack File Manager and unpack the mod. Then place the 'loose' files you want from this mod into the Rome II data directory under the UI folder. Loose files override pack files. So you can use this front-end mod in combination with other mods that also may modify the UI if you want to keep the effects, i.e. the Divide Et Impera mod, etc.

Yes, the load screens are now white themselves. I had to create a red punic-style overlay for use and also red buttons in-game because I simply had a very hard time seeing some of the icons (white on white). They literally bled the color out of the Emperor Edition for whatever reasons.

huh, well that is dumb. It made more sense with how they had it before that when DLC's came out they could change the colors like they did (red-green-purple) and now its supposed to be permenantly white? Rome's most famous color is red not white. Thanks for the response.
