More divisions mod v2

Description
This mod adds 30 new divisions; 9 Soviet, 2 American, 2 British, 1 Canadian, 1 South African, 2 Hungarian, and 13 German divisions, which are all based on historical formations.

This one also fixes Eugen's mistakes using extensive community reaserch. special thanks to Libik and Calamarighost for their help and knowledge.


For the British, the 7th armored division entirely equipped with british designed tanks, and 53rd Welsh infantry division with RAM kangaroos, shermans, crocodiles, and cromwells.
For the Americans, the 1st Infantry with 3rd Armored's combat command B attached and lots of towed 76mm AT guns, 80th Infantry with Jumbos in C and M36 90mm GMCs, 101st Airborne with elite paratroopers and British Armored support, and Task Force A with lots of light armor and hellcats.
For the Canadians, the 5th Armoured division with lots of infantry and SPAA in the anti ground role.
For the South Africans, the 6th Armoured division with a combination of Sherman 75, Sherman 76 and Firefly, as well as lots of Sherman 105s and decient infantry.
For the Soviets, the 5th tank corps with lots of Valentine III and M3 Lee, as well as T-34/85, 5th tank corps (Alternate) with lots of M3L, T34, IS-2 and Elite Assault Sappers, 6th guards tank corps with a SU-57 battalion, 11th guards tank from earlier in 1944 with no T34/85 but IS-2, ISU-152 and heavy artillery, 6th Guards mechanized corps supported by a SU-57 battalion and ISU 152, 8th Guards mechanized corps with SU-57s and IS-2s, 16th guards rifle with ISU-122, SU-152, KV-1S, 82nd Guards rifle division with T-26, valentines and captured Panthers, and KV-85, and 167th rifle division supported by a heavy tank battalion with IS-1s.
For the Hungarians, the 2nd Armored division with a few panthers and tigers, medium German armor, and Hungarian light armor, and 25th infantry division supported by a Zrinyi II battalion, a StuG battalion in phase B and 23rd Panzer in phase C.
For the Germans, the Pz.Gren. division Grossdeuchland with a full Tiger battalion and StuG battalion, 9 SS Panzer with lots of panzergrenadiers and limited Panzers, 11. Panzer with few Panzer IV and flak guns but lots of Panthers and luftwaffe infantry, 12th Panzer with Panzer IVs and field training troops, 24th panzer, equipped with StuG III, King Tiger and lots of Ersatz troops, Gruppe Oberst with walkure, Marder and Nashorn, KampfGruppe Walther with Panzer IV/70s and SdKfz 251/21s from Panzer brigade 107, 3rd Panzergrenadier with Tigers and Brummbars, 11 SS Panzergrenadier with StuG, Panther D, Penal troops, and Vielfachwerfer, 15th Panzergrenadier with Panzer IV, Panther A and Jagdpanzer IV, 90th Panzergrenadier with StuG IV and Panzer IIIN, 8 SS Cavalry with lots of SMG infantry, Armoured cars, and Hetzers, 102nd infantry, supported by a Jagdpanzer 38(t) battalion, and 326. Infantry supported by Jagpanthers.

Along with this come 2 "Alternate" divisions, Panzer Lehr with its correct equipment, and Podv. gruppa Bezuglogo before some of it's troops were withdrawn to corps reserve.
3 "Authentic" Divisions, 1 Skijager, with its historical number of infantry and StuGs, 3rd Guards tank corps with its historical mix of T34, and Sherman and Valentine tanks, and 26th guards rifle division with its historical T34 Su122 and ISU122 instead of KV.
1 "Reworked" Division, US 3rd Armored, with its higher historical number of tanks, and its tanks phase locked to better represent when each variant arrived in Europe.

As well, 2 of the base divisions have recieved changes.
3rd Canadian Infantry has had British AT support added in A phase, and its Canadian 17Pdrs phase locked to B with RAM gun towers as per historical attachment timelines.
116 Panzer has recieved 3 additinal cards of Hummel and a card of wespe as its artillery had a unique organization, and one card of Panzergrenadier replaced with Panzergrenadier(leichte), and Ersatz avalable in B phase, as it lacked machine guns but had over authorized manpower.

These are separate, new divisions. the original, unchanged divisions are still available in the division creator alongside the reworked ones.


The mod adds Several new units.
Unfortunately I don't know how to make models, so they use substitute models currently in game or are models currently only used in the campaign.

1) go to C:\Users\(Your user)\Saved Games\EugenSystems\SteelDivision2\mod\More divisions mod v2
2) open config.ini
3) change deckformatversion from 1 to 0

Since this mod doesn't change any of the vanilla divisions, all your divisions should be right there

Any decks created with the mod activated will become hidden after this change. If you haven't created any divisions with the mod active, ignore this warning.

hello everyone. An update on the update process.

Unfortunately, Eugen did a big update to how the mod files are structured and organized with the tribute44 DLC. this has meant that many parts of the mod have been corrupted by the update tool due to wildly different parts of script being present on each line between the old version and the new restructured version.

no update of this mod is currently being worked on as i am working on updating the authentic divisions mod+

probably will not update this mod anymore because it is a huge mess

Do you know how to change the main menu picture? I want to mod in a png that is different to vanillas main menu

the weird thing is, my battlegroups didnt get deleted.

TBH waiting untill after the next dlc comes could be a good idea. also, i think if you store your deck codes by clicking the copy battlegroup is advisable as a backup.

Can confirm it is once more updated and working. BG's are a;ll gone but I think I won't bother building them anymore till Eugen are finished frakking this game up with rubbish DLC's and minor patches.

No, it isn't. Still incompatible, and I also had no download from you. Other modders have had problems updating this one as well.
