Description
German Class 624 and Class 634 DMUs. Developed from 1959 onwards, they were introduced into service in 1964 and capable of 120 kph. In 1968, units were fitted with tilting technology, which required the use of air suspension. This allowed these vehicles to reach 140 kph. However, since the vehicles were not shaped appropriately, they would exceed the gauge when tilted. Consequently, tilting equipment was removed, but the air suspension remained and the vehicles were designated as Class 634 and retained their higher top speed.

The engines were considered inadequate and starting in the late 80s, they were slowly replaced by newer DMUs and engine-hauled trains. In Germany the last units were phased out in 2005, some of which were sold to Poland and Romaina. The Polish units have been retired in 2012.

Included are:

Class 624 (120 kph, 367 kW, 128 PAX)
Class 924 (120 kph, unpowered middle car, 144 PAX)

Class 634 (140 kph, 367 kW, 128 PAX)
Class 934 (140 kph, unpowered middle car, 144 PAX)

Up to three units can be coupled, each unit is made up of a Class 624/634 at either end and up to two middle cars.

Decals are available for 3 DB liveries, representing the paint schemes for 1975-1985 (RAL 1001/ RAL 5020), 1985-1995 (RAL 6033/ RAL 7035) and from 1995 until their retirement (RAL 3020).
