Great Western Railway is a UK railway operator belonging to the FirstGroup group; it connects the British capital, with high-speed trains from Paddington station, to South West England and South Wales and operates local service between London and the Thames Valley and local services in South West England.
The company, operating from 2006 to 2015 under the name First Great Western, can be considered, for long-distance services, as the reincarnation of the homonymous railway company operating until 1948, one of the most prestigious companies in the United Kingdom, and then part of the British Railways.
