If it wasn't a 9 unit, 1 room puzzle where you don't really lose any progress, I would agree that a dropper would have been useful.
SPOILERS>>>>>>>>> I took the reflection cube to the other side of the room by pointing it at each of the laser catchers in turn and walking through the switched off fizzlers. Then I used the cube to point the laser at the wall and created a portal in the wall and out of the floor, directing the laser into the catcher which opened the exit. <<<<<<<<<<SPOILERS
