I don't suppose you could add in a mod with the famous medieval french banner of the "Oriflamme" as the "Empire of Francia" flag?

Hello, i would like to sugest something:
Empire of France flag is ok if a Carlingien (Charlemagne dinasty) heir is on the throne.
But if another dynasty ( player, caper... ect) in on can be nice to come back the old imperial flag whit 3 lys flowers.

@Willelmus
it can dependent on ruler's house, which is more historical.

I like the idea, but I dislike that you link Provence with the French Capets when Provence itself starts the game firmly within the Empire and when historically it wasn't integrated into France until 1480 (granted, Charles of Anjou inherited Provence in 1240's, but maybe the coat of arms with the lillies can be dependant on culture?)

...So Alphonse Capet became Alphonse of Poitiers and adopted as a CoA a mix of the classique Capétian lys and the Castillian castles. Poitou ended up being associated with the Castillan castles in popular culture as a result but now only the local Gendarmerie (Military police) uses the Castillan castles as their CoA.

Otherwise the city itself still uses the red lion as a symbol ^^

About Capet, basically the family name has its own adjective; which takes an accent, both in French and English : (Capétian meaning something that belongs to the Capet dynasty, like a title)

Furthermore the "de Bourgogne" and "Capet" family are the same dynasty, "de Bourgogne" is just a split / cadet. It's neat that you made it dynamic tho ^^

About Poitou, the castles that are represented on the CK 2 design are actually the castles of Castille, because Louis VIII "The Lion" and Blanca of Castille gave birth to Alphonse Capet, which would be granted the Counties of Poitiers (Poitou), Saintonge and Auvergne one year before his father passed...

@Vantage
Poitou's design comes from CK2, I don't know it's a wrong version (it's just beautiful)

The Capet version of Burgundy means it's dynamic. ( idk, should be Capétian? But Capet in my game ) , It will change to that version if it is ruled by the Capétian.

about Orléans, I can't find a lily from textures in files. So I used a similar texture.

Brittany and Aquitaine would be a good suggestion.

Hey, I don't know if that's intended to be historically accurate or not but here are several things :

The in game CoA for the Duchy of Burgundy is actually the Capétian one, I don't know where your "Capet version" comes from

The CoA for the Aquitaine are traditionally a lion passant facing, not a lion rampant

The Duchy of Orléans actually uses the main three Lys pattern with a silver label ontop (Look up Dukedom of Orléans)

The Duchy of Brittany should be the same pattern as the Kingdom, but without the cross. If my memory serves me well the CoA that you use for the Duchy is actually a flag created in the late '70s which is supposed to represent the region of Brittany in the French Republic !

The county of Poitou uses a simple red lion rampant on a white background as its CoA !

Don't take this the wrong way by the way your mod is a good initiative
