Xbox Style Levels

Description
IMPORTANT:
Does not replace any maps, this is a separate level set.

COOP IS UNTESTED AND INCOMPATIBLE, DO NOT PLAY MULTIPLAYER WITH THIS MAP SET.

HOW TO PLAY:
Go to "Custom Level" level select menu, and find a new neon green Hatshepsut. Run that level to begin playing.

What is this?

This is an extensive renovation mod for all TFE and TSE maps to make them very similar to the Xbox version's maps without removing anything significant from either version.

Why?

The Xbox version of Serious Sam 1 considerably changes the look and sound of TFE and TSE maps whether it be textures, additional effects, or new music. Some of these changes improve the maps, while others are merely changes and do not have a net positive. Of course, these changes were never made officially available on PC, and while a mod for TSE Classic exists that recreates the general Xbox experience, I believe there is still value in a mod that creates the look and feel of the Xbox Serious Sam levels without some of the other more controversial changes the port brought.

What is changed?

Textures - every instance of differing textures has been changed to reflect the Xbox version, anything that is still different are textures I missed.

Lighting - most of the lighting has been changed, what is not changed is still similar enough that you are unlikely to notice unless you play the Xbox version religiously.

Added Geometry - while most of the level geometry is largely the same, I have taken care to add in anything extra that the Xbox version brought.

Added Objects - the Xbox version adds many extra objects in levels that were never there in the original PC releases. This includes torches, trees, and other decorations. All have been added with this mod.

Music - certain levels in the Xbox version were split in two due to memory limitations, each split level ended up receiving new music. For this mod I have used built-in map features to change the music dynamically to reflect where the new music shows up in the Xbox version. This includes both level music and the few instances of cutscene music.

Added Items - within TFE levels you may now find the chainsaw, serious bombs, and powerups. They are generally in the same places as they were in the Xbox version, but for instances where they replaced other items they have been moved to another place. Do not worry, they are still quite easy to find.

Treasures - all of the treasure items from the Xbox version have been recreated and placed in mostly the same places as the Xbox port. A few of the treasures are placed in different areas for various reasons such as poor placement in the Xbox port or if they replaced any existing items. Treasure items count as secrets, so collect them all to get all secrets in a level.

Destructions - ever wonder why tree destructions look so nice in TSE but they are flimsy in TFE? Well, that is because the better destructions were hiding in the Xbox version. With this mod TFE's destructions can now be almost as good as TSE's. In addition, all destructions now have sound effects, even the less significant ones.

Karnak - the first half of this level is now set during daytime like the Karnak Demo, while the second half is at night time. This is how it was in the Xbox version.

Catacombs - the one "exclusive" level from the Xbox version has been entirely incorporated into Sierra de Chiapas. Have fun!

What is not changed?

Removed Geometry - to match the look of the Xbox levels I have already removed significant number of textures and effects. I felt it unnecessary to do so with level geometry. Especially in TSE levels, the level geometry was reduced in many places in the Xbox version. Considering how similar the maps look, it is unlikely for anyone to notice some of these minute differences anyway.

Removed Objects - despite adding many objects, the Xbox maps also remove a lot of objects. Just as with geometry, there was no need to match the Xbox version in this regard.

Reduced Structure - one of the things I tried to do with this mod is to keep as much of the level design as possible from both versions of the game. In case you are unaware, many levels have very different pacing in the Xbox version, mostly in the form of completely removed sections and changed structure. This is most apparent in The Elephant Atrium, where half of the entire level was cut in the Xbox version.

Models - other than the palm tree model and one instance of the beheaded, none of the other models are included in this mod. Find them in the separate Full Xbox Pack by Alfeos.

Other Xbox-specific elements - things such as lives, multikills, font, menu, cutscenes, etc. have not been brought in largely because Revolution lacks mod support.

You did an *excellent* job with this. It was great seeing the maps how I remember them from when I originally played the game (I was confused when I replayed the game on PC for to first time and found another huge canyon in Sierra de Chiappas instead of that big gravity wall). I've always wanted to be able to revisit the XBox maps, so thank you for putting in all of the effort to remake this.

I only recall coming across one minor issue, and that's that the Grand Cathedral music starts playing instead of going back to the Corridor of Death music when you exit the pumpkin field secret in Grand Cathedral.

If you ever felt like adding it, it'd be great to have more of the weird disco laser trees that the XBox version had with the XBox disco music, but that's a very minor detail: https://youtu.be/9eLn72jsXZA I know that there's at least one, although it uses the PC disco music instead of the XBox music.

@BigDaddy2537 No, as there is currently no way to seamlessly transition the skybox between areas.

Do you have plans to update the skybox for the Gates of Persepolis section like the Xbox mod for Classic TSE did?
