Belt Slot Gas Masks

Description
So in normal Kenshi, it is impossible to wear a gas mask of any kind with other headwear. This mod seeks to fix this issue by making a copy of the existing masks and making them fit in the belt slot.
It should be noted that this does not merge two items together and that there WILL be some clipping issues associated with certain hat/mask combos.
You can find the items and blueprints in Tech Hunter/UC headwear shops. All masks are constructed at the heavy armor smithy.
If you have any grievances towards this mod, I will attempt to fix the issue in a reasonable time frame. If your issue is fundamentally impossible to solve, I'll probably just ignore you.

It could maybe have to do with the armor material or class. It's been so long that I've largely forgotten the nuances of Kenshi's armor system but if I remember correctly certain armor types are predisposed to be less stealthy. It's possible that if you told the game that it was made out of cloth or leather the issue could disappear. Again, it's been a long time and i may not be remembering this correctly.

I have only ever found the fog mask and swamp mask. And I have found everything up to high level in terms of quality. The swamp mask has identical stats to the vanilla/standard variants, giving a 1.1 buff to stealth no matter the quality.

The fog mask gives a serious penalty to stealth that does vary depending on quality, but is always negative. It's standard/vanilla counterpart offers no buff or debuff. I haven't found the other mask yet.

I tried messing with it in FCS and nothing I did would remove the stealth stat from the mask. Best I could do was make it a buff of 2 to mostly negate it, but it still varied depending on quality... What was weird was the swamp mask keeps a flat 1.1. Doesn't matter if it is prototype or high grade. I couldn't even get the fog mask to do that...

Also, just so it's said, I appreciate the mod and the time you put into making it. The issue is a minor inconvenience, at most, and I didn't realize this was a 4 year old mod. Thank you for the mod.

BTW, what quality of mask did you get? Gives me a better idea of your situation.

It just depends on what slot something is in. The belt slot has a higher "weight" when it comes to negative effects than the head slot does. This also means that quality has a higher impact on stealth and athletics(which the masks don't change really.) I'd try and fix it but I don't currently have the game installed.

I am curious why you made the fog mask negatively effect stealth so much? As far as I can tell it didn't boost or hinder stealth in vanilla. Not throwing shade, just wondering.

If I remember correctly, you can change the model used in a single click of a button. It may be possible to have no model at all, which could be one way. Alternatively, you might be able to scale the items down to nothing so they don't appear.

I'd like to use this mod, but not have the gasmask show up on my character (aesthetic's and all), could you tell me what settings I need to edit in FCS?

Yes, the mod adds completely new items that in no way alter or replace the existing masks.
