Description
"Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers began wrestling in 1939 and worked for multiple NWA territories over the course of a legendary career.

Rogers was a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, winning the title in 1961 in front of a large crowd at Comiskey Park, then went on to become the inaugural WWWF World Heavyweight Champion a few years later.

Rogers first retired in 1969 before making a comeback nearly a decade later. He wrestled for a few years before transitioning into managing for a short time before retiring again.

In 1994, Rogers was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
