Description
This mod is no longer maintained. Sorry. If you're the mod-reviving sort who wants to reupload it, or use the assets for something new, etc, feel free: my work is all public domain.

Overview:
Slithers are a playable race of anthropomorphic snakes created using Humanoid Alien Races 2.0. Slithers come with a variety of colors, tail patterns, and even head shapes, giving them a ton of visual variety! Their gameplay differences are minimal, so they can easily be added to a standard colony without feeling overpowered or out of place.

Safe to add to existing saves, but not to remove. Like most race mods, you should put it near the bottom of your mod list.

Requires Humanoid Alien Races 2.0 and Pawnkind Race Diversification. Load them both before your race mods.

If you are switching over from the "Legacy" version of Slither Race, you must start a new save! This version of the mod is missing a lot of Pawnkind defs that are no longer necessary thanks to Pawnkind Race Diversification. RimWorld doesn't like it when Pawnkinds suddenly go missing, and trying to switch versions will more than likely break existing saves.

So what's the upside of migrating to the new version? Thanks to Pawnkind Race Diversification, Slithers can be mixed into more factions than ever, and at whatever ratio you desire! Check the mod settings for Pawnkind Race Diversification to adjust this; by default, they are weighted equally to humans. Furthermore, the large reduction of unnecessary defs should ease the burden on your loading times and savegame sizes at least a teeny bit.

Racial Stats:
- A Slithers' Comfortable Temperature range is 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F), a few degrees higher than a human's.
- In unarmed combat, Slithers have a marginally stronger bite that they are more likely to use.
- Slithers use their tails to help them move. They count as a "Movement" part, almost like a third leg. They won't move faster because of this, but leg injuries won't hinder them as much (and leg bionics won't help them as much). Prosthetic, Bionic, and Archotech Slither Tails can be made or found in similar fashion to other equivalent prostheses.

The legacy versions didn’t work well in 1.3, at least not without a boatload of red errors.
And don’t get me started on the “updated” versions using PRD as a dependency. All PRD did was kill off three good race mods and confuse a whole lot of Modders. At least that’s my stance on it.

Miss the variety? Do they not work any more for you? I don't use the Slither or Ikquan (But I still intend on doing the same for them).

Already on it. Check the Klickmala race comments. I have a temp one up for them, trying to make it more broad with the factions and stuff. But I can see about patching these up to be independent of PRD while fixing some of the compatibility problems with other mods like Androids, Character Editor, etc.

Since Pawnkind Race Diversification is discontinued, and Beelz has stopped maintaining these Race Mods, it would be very nice if someone could patch the legacy versions of his Races to work in 1.3.
