Lore (avoid reading if you wish to guess it through the environmental storytelling I added ;) ):

An alchemist has a tower built for his works, and settles there with his wife. After her tragic death, he becomes desperate and isolates himself, leaving the education of his children to a nurse, who enjoys making the bottom levels of the tower nice to live in. Although he cares about them - not so much about the nurse - he cares more about his work, but that work will soon risk his life, as he becomes intoxicated by stray gem powder, forcing all four occupants to rush towards the nearest city in a hustle.

About 25h of work, done in beta 1.04/1.05. No warranty is given concerning possible broken parts due to overlooked bugs.
