Description
[SP] rescue mission using the S.O.G. cDLC.

Your small team attempts to track and rescue two pilots. Should be relatively short and it's not a walking sim.

features:
HVT capture and Hostage rescue scripts by nomadd
(tailored for my mission)

Features many hand placed objects for immersion.

Should also work in COOP 1-5 players.

-Added the Wilhelm scream to a single NVA unit. See if you can find him.
(note that some s.o.g screams tend to interrupt the Wilhelm scream but not all.)

-Added sound when Dismissing a squad member.

-Adjusted start time for visibility.

-Spell check as requested.

-Adjusted the "Look for tracks" task to make it easier to spot.

-Added the ability to dismiss squad mates.
(Using the scroll wheel menu, you can now walk up to Ai squad mates and dismiss/delete them. You can play without herding Ai if that's not your thing. Or if they bug out and halt progression. Since the boat/helicopter require everyone in the group.)

PS I didn't see any tire tracks either. Just some brown mud and an NVA hat that triggered a hint .

This is a fun yet tense mission!
Atmospheric. No complicated back story or introduction. No long travel times. And not too difficult. Especially like the first encounter, where you can take out 4 enemies if you throw your grenade *just* right.

The trail task is also fun. You don't have a marker or location, so it takes you a little out of the routine.

One thing you can improve is the transition on the map. Now players can see that they are teleported to a different part. But you can restrict the map by placing shapes colored black (0 opacity) in the Eden editor.
Also funny that I got to command Ken Bowra in my team.

xkooda Hi, Thank you for trying the mission.
The trigger is a few meters down the river near the bend. It asks for the boat and all members of the players squad.
Sometimes a squad mate gets killed and doesn't get removed from the squad list. If that's the case, I added the dismiss action to friendly Ai.
Try removing them at the start or after they die.

Hi and thanks for the scenario. My friend and I were enjoying the mod tonight but we could not complete the steal the boat task, we kill the enemy and took the boat searched around in the boat down to the west and could not find anything to trigger the next task. Any ideas?

A good mission. First off a tip for people like me who couldn't find the 'tracks' and had to backtrack from the next location, look about 50 metres out from the crash-site. A couple of nitpicks on the mission itself, you misspelt towards as twards. Also, the task after the 'find the tracks' task needs changing slightly since the info is untrue. Instead maybe say something like "With friendly presence in this area they must have headed ___ direction." Will stop idiots like me checking out places needlessly

Not sure what to do with the task "look for tracks". There's no trigger when I reach the way point and I don't see any tracks since it's so dark. Any hint ? ;)
