Description
The Emirates Air Line is a cable car operated by TfL linking the Greenwich Peninsula to the Docklands area.
Construction began in 2011, and the project was finished in June 2012, before that year's Olympic games.

The line operates with 34 gondolas (and 2 in reserve). The funding was partially provided by Emirates airline, hence the sponsored name of the cable car.

The line is viewed as somewhat of a novelty connection, with high fares of £5.00 for a single adult 'boarding pass'. Usage peaked during the Olympics, and rises during the summer with tourism.

Key Stats:
- Fleet: 36 units
- Capacity: 10 pax
- Speed: 14mph
- Length: 1.1km
- Max Elevation: 90m

Inspiration for this mod came from seeing the possibility of a 'cable-car' tag in the code, and the desire to complete the entire London tube map network.
If you are re-creating the line, use viaduct track. A stop time of 1 second best replicates the continuous movement of the gondolas.

Are we going to have a special "track" type to build cables instead of viaducts? :D

My pricing is 3$ per kilometer and the distance is about 5,2km-5,8km to the fortress. Some stops are less than 1km away from each other. The total length is 30km back an forth with 3 mainland stops all connected to a tram station. I assume the game doesn't double the value for double track. So the pricing would be as affordable as 45$ for the full ride (15km*3$=45)! No one probably takes the trip back and forth though because it wouldn't make any pathfinding sense.

@Marsuli If you are using the same pricing as the real line, I'm not surprised. I guess the pax don't avoid the expensive journey!

Useful for short connections with low amount of passengers. I just connected Helsinki's main zoo island and 18th century fortress island to the mainland in my game. The profits are amazing!

Amazing, using this for NYC's Roosevelt Island Tramway
