Description
Southern (loco-hauled) Lufthansa Airport Express: Starting in the 1980s, there were proposals to replace national short-haul flights with a fast train service. For that purpose, DB and Lufthansa cooperated to create the Lufthansa Airport Express between Frankfurt Airport and Düsseldorf (later extended to Düsseldorf Airport). It was a successful, but low volume service using non-standard EMUs. Due to this, a second service between Frankfurt Airport and Stuttgart was introduced. Due to a lack of fast EMUs, the southern line used loco-hauled trains instead.

Initially, a Class 111 pulled three modified Avmz 207 coaches, this was replaced by a 103 pulling 1 Avmz 106 and 2 Bpmz 296 coaches once the Mannheim-Stuttgart HSR opened.

Included in this mod:
Class 111: 160 kph, 3 coaches by default (126 PAX), can be doubled (252 PAX).
Class 103: 200 kph 3 coaches by default (112 PAX)
Class 103 extended: 200 kph, 7-10 coaches (265 - 382 PAX) - fictional
