Lumiest

Description
Adds Lumiest from Elona to the game! (plus a bunch of other stuff)


Features:

  • A new port with its own trade good, local specialty, and incomprehensible citizens.

  • The Wizard class: Has a selection of utility spells from Elona that any adventurer worth their salt should know. All spells are instant cast but have lengthy cooldowns. The class can be unlocked once you complete a certain quest within town. Full class details are in listed below.

  • A new dungeon: The once bustling Lumiest Mage's Guild has been abandoned and left to decay. Maybe if you explore a bit you can find out why. Has some puzzles and some combat with a few unique item rewards and a new enemy type that will be annoyingly familiar if you've ever visited Lumiest before.

  • A bunch of new utility items and consumables. Some of them can be bought and some of them you'll have to discover elsewhere. Full details in the spoilers below.

  • More music tracks from Elona!

Located at 38S, 102E




Wizard class abilities:
  • Crystal Spear - Hurls a piercing spear of magic energy in a straight line, dealing non-elemental magic damage. Damage scales slightly with all elemental skills. Higher ranks increase the range. 35 AT cooldown.

  • Healing Rain - Instantly heals all allies for a small amount of HP. Higher ranks increase the amount of healing. 200 AT cooldown.

  • Acid Ground - Summons puddles of acid around the caster and poisons anything in range. Higher ranks increase the AOE. 99 AT cooldown.

  • Slow - Delays an enemy's turn. Higher ranks increase the delay and the duration. At max rank it also reduces the enemy's movement range by 1. 99 AT cooldown.

  • Speed - Speed up an ally's act timer. Higher ranks increase the effect and the duration, but also increase the spell's cooldown. 120 - 150 AT cooldown.


Wizard class passives:
  • Meditation - Recover a small amount of MP at the end of your turn.

  • Memorization - Shortens the cooldown of any ability with a cooldown by 10 AT.

  • Magic Device - Increases your range and damage when using wands.



New Item spoilers:

  • Sulfuric Acid - Creates a puddle of acid wherever it is thrown. If thrown directly at an enemy, poisons them and has a small chance to break their armor or weapon.

    Can be bought at the item shop in Lumiest.

  • Statue of Jure - Reusable statue that instantly cures all status effects on the party. Does not cost an action to use. Can only be used once a month.

    You'll need to solve a puzzle to find this.

  • Scroll of Mana - Consumable scroll that replenishes a portion of MP when used.

  • Scroll of Minor Teleport - Consumable scroll that allows the user to teleport a short distance

  • Scroll of Return - Consumable scroll that allows the party to teleport to certain ports. Does not work if the party is carrying trade goods.

    All scrolls can be bought from the mage's guild scribe after joining the guild. The scribe's inventory restocks weekly.

  • Rod of Return - Like the scroll of return, but does not get consumed and works even if you're carrying trade goods. Takes 10 days to recharge.

    Give as a reward for accepting Revlus' request.

This mod is the start of a questline that I plan to expand on in future mods, which I will eventually link here in the description if I ever manage to finish them. Thanks for playing and let me know if you find any bugs!

So bad it doesnt have continuation and that the mages guild isn´t renovable. Very good mod by the way.

And it looks like this mod apparently is blatantly incomplete for anyone who ever thinks about getting their hopes up. I used to love playing Elona but this whole thing was apparently so far a massive waste of my time looks like.

And to the Author you might want to change your post below from top LEFT to top RIGHT.I'm not gonna go more specific than that because people hate spoilers enough that even people who WRITE GUIDES refuse to do anything but say "oh but I dun wanna risk givin da spolers" IN SOMETHING BLATANTLY LABELED AS A GUIDE. IF I CARED ABOUT SPOILERS I WOULDN'T BE READING SOMETHING BLATANTLY LABELED AS A GUIDE NOW WOULD I?

You know having SOME KIND OF REASONABLE HINT that shows up and let's us know how to complete the quest required to access the Lumiest mages guild properly AT ALL would have been a nice touch just saying. I figured out how to solve the first puzzle to get in but I can't figure out the rest of this to unlock the wizard class AT ALL WITH NO HINTS IN THE MOD/GAME. Might want to when you make something like this make sure it actually GIVES US THE INFO IN GAME TO FIGURE IT OUT. From what I see there are NO HINTS whatsoever other than one that I DID figure out but the ONLY hint for it is so painfully obscure it's not at all even CLOSE to funny.

Can confirm that both the teleport rod and scroll crashes the game. Tried using it in Lumiest as well as other Ports, crashes all the same. The wizard class is fun to play with though.

@Deason Red I've done a bunch of digging around but I can't see anything that would cause it to crash. It seems to work on a fresh installation for me, so maybe try deleting and redownloading the mod?

Any time I would try and use the wand, I never got it to actually work. I tried it in Lumiest and another port or two before giving up on using it, not sure which the others were to be honest
