Toni Storm

New Zealand-born Australian wrestler Toni Storm is well known for her work for World Wonder Ring Stardom in Japan, where she has wrestled since 2016, but Storm had been wrestling for years prior to going to Japan.

Starting at the age of 13, Storm worked initially in the UK, and expanded into mostly European countries over the better part of the next decade.

Storm took part in WWE's Mae Young Classic in 2017, reaching the tournament's semifinals. She competed again in the 2018 version of the tournament, defeating Io Shirai in the finals.

Storm competed in NXT UK after the brand debuted, losing the in the finals of a tournament to crown the first NXT UK Women's Champion. She would go on to defeat Rhea Ripley in early 2019 to win the title before dropping the belt to Kay Lee Ray later that year.

In late 2019, Storm began appearing on NXT TV and competed at Survivor Series for Team NXT as well as in the 2020 Toyal Rumble.

Travel issues kept Storm away from NXT for much of the pandemic, but after returning to NXT in in October 2020, Storm made a big splash by turning heel and inserting herself into the NXT Women's Championship picture.
