If anyone wants to do a cooler version run a loop where any unit who's side player is < 5m from player force action salute and then waituntil unit player salutes and walks away. That way you can feel super important and have all your units saluting you and waiting to be at ease.

Would be interesting to see an AI composition only salute named players, so if theres multiple players, they would only salute officers.
