Description
P-55 Series Panel Buildings for Cities: Skylines

Location: Russia: Moscow and surrounding regions
Construction: 1978 — 2002

Description

The P-55 is a Soviet and post-Soviet panel housing series designed for dense urban environments, often placed along major roads due to its excellent sound insulation. Non-residential rooms usually face the noisy side.

Buildings come in various colors — beige, orange, pink, brown, yellow, blue, and teal — and have uncoated facades. Apartments are equipped with glazed balconies (except on the first floor), separate bathrooms and toilets, and natural exhaust ventilation. Entrances are served by two 400 kg passenger elevators and have trash chutes on every floor. Layouts are standardized, with four units per floor and limited remodeling potential due to structural wall configuration.
