XSHPG-86 "Komodo" Heavy Siege Gun

With the venerable Brokenback siege mortar gradually being phased out of active service, Coalition high command sought out a successor that could rival its devastating firepower in a more modern package. In an effort to field such a weapon in larger numbers, the Megalania was chosen as a base over the super heavy Gigalania, and an enormous howitzer was developed to increase versatility and rate of fire. Mounting this enormous new gun, the Komodo is a slow and heavy vehicle, but the firepower it brings to bear is devastating, units equipped with the design easily levelling fortifications with the huge payload it can deliver, from an impressive range surpassing that of the Brokenback.
