Gravity Racing

Description
Welcome to my first race track for Gravity Racing, I simply call it the "White Loop".

Gravity Racing is a ridicolusly fast racing sport with the addition of several gravity generators that pull you on the track. That doesnt mean its less dangerous or fun. Its quite similar to Podracing from the Star Wars Universe.

Like podracing, Gravracing is really dangerous, so you should start slowly and carefully. Controlling the racers is not easy, but it will be fun once you get used to it.

I designed 4 different Gravity Racers for this map, one is quiet easy to maneouvre, the one is the "standard racer" and the two others are more of a challenge.

_____///// UPDATE \\\\\_____

I used the force to create two new grav racers, the X-772 Quadpod and the V8-Viper, both ridiculuos fast and more dangerous. Addtionally I added a new part to the race track.

Have fun with this track, I tried to make it a pleasure for the eye, but it shouldnt hurt your frame rate too much.

i was asking because they try to keep a set distance from the ground

Hm, sure go on.

What if i were to retrofit some hover engines?
would it be functional?

The track and racing pods are nice, though a bit hard to steer around those tight corners.

Great Track, love the rings section, feels like going up to speed when passing them ;) Great pods, I will be using the concept to design some of my own :D

I know and Im already working on a bigger and wider track, but thanks for your feedback.

The track has too many 180 degree turns. If it's gonna be like Pod Racing then you need to have it where more time is spent going straight. In SW most of the track was fairly wide for the Pod race but here you only got fairly tight track with areas that seem barely large enough to have two racers driving next to each other.

It's a good start but to capture that real pod racer feel with high speeds it needs to have large straight aways to gain some speed. Combine with some hasards like pillars in the middle of the track or perhaps a rotor blade. So that your cruising along at high speed and have to weave back and forth to dodge things.

Right now all the tight turns make it so you can't go too fast, since the inertia will cause you to slam into the wall. Thus you end up going fairly slow since one wipe out could potentially total your ship.

I like the racer design. I did better with the pro. The track is tough, but I had fun getting in wrecks.
