I can understand why people are annoyed it was late in the challenge road given it takes a bit to get a feel for the rockets, but I'm glad the challenge helped me find this gem. Sometimes the background and explosions made me lose where hat kid was, but other than that I loved everything.
The platforming sections were small but rich and a cool way to setup "freeing" the rockets, which wasn't something I was expecting. I was floored the first time I got on a rocket; what a cool concept! Hard to control but once I did, I found the sections really satisfying to beat. Add to that the amount of storytelling going on in the background scenery and the whole thing felt so lively and loved.
Crazy work. Thanks so much.
well become worse because its middle of challenge road
now it makes me mad more than sad
I don't know how much control you have/had over that, but something to consider for the future, please.
However, the level requires the player to be able to turn the rocket way too sharply while offering so few health orbs to compensate for the damage that is unavoidable along the way, such as that one area with the gears where the path goes downward. I can't not hit at least two of those gears while at the lowest angle the rocket is willing to go, also the camera would always clip through the ceiling, blinding me until I die or I miraculously eventually get past that hallway.
I feel like this mod would have been fantastic with more tweaks to the map design that could make avoiding obstacles not require absolutely perfect steering of the wonky rocket.
