Last Local to Larlsbad

In the middle of the day, SW9 #27 rolls past Mertyl Junction and into the heart of Connorsville. Today's job is just like any other - switch the industries on the Larlsbad branch. But today's job has a solemn air to it, for it will be the last time trains are seen on the route. Ever.
Switch the local for the last time, and watch as the final passenger service shuttles to and from Larlsbad.

This level was made to represent the decline of railroading, especially on branch lines, with the mass introduction of cars and of airplanes. Sadly, the switching aspect of the level cannot be showcased... Maybe I'll update the level when shunting is added to the game. It would be nice to show how all the industries are having cars taken from them, and none are having cars delivered.

The two trains you must keep track of are the local and the RDC passenger service. The RDC is very easy to follow, but the Local needs a LOT of reverses. It also needs to use the Wye at Larlsbad - but don't worry about when it uses it. The stops are timed so you should be able to reverse the train either before or after it arrives at Larlsbad Sidings.

Is this a great level? Eh, not really. Is it a cool thought experiment? Yes. Is it enjoyable? Well, that depends on the person, but I'd say so.
