Mk18 7.62x39 mm Variant

This mod adds a seperate variant of the Mk18 ABR rifle that uses the 7.62x39 mm cartridge. It can use any 7.62 AK magazine, even drums. This new weapon is called M405A ABR (in reference to the chinese copy of the M14 in 7.62 russian, the M305A, for which I also have a mod) and in comparison to the typical AK, it is more accurate but has more recoil and weight. Still, if you have neither the Apex nor the Contact DLC, this addon will give you a vanilla-fitting weapon for you to try out the power of 7.62x39 mm.

Compatibility

The M405A can take any vanilla or CBA compatible 7.62x39 mm AK magazines and drums. As for attachments, some mods will work, some don't, I may add more compatiblity in the future (RHS works!)

Language

All weapons are translated to every available language of Arma 3.

Weapon Statistics

The M405A is lighter than the 7.62 NATO Mk18, but still retains the accuracy of the latter. Still, the russian 7.62 bullet reduces the muzzle velocity while the low weight leads to higher recoil in comparison to an AK-type rifle.
The M405A weighs 160 Units and has a muzzle velocity of 780 m/s.
