Outdoor Badminton Court #1 - Hong Kong

This is the ONLY badminton court currently available in the workshop! In other words, this is the FIRST badminton court ever made for Cities: Skylines! So why not click the subscribe button and give it a try?



There're courts for football, basketball, tennis in the workshop, but there aren't any courts for badminton! It really annoys me a lot every time I put "badminton" into the search box and see "No Result" again and again... How come!? It's not even a rare sport! So what I'm trying to do here is to fill up this little missing gap. Yep, I do enjoy making forgotten sports! You may comment below the sports that you want to see in-game, and I'll consider making the courts for you.

There're 2 parks in this asset, namely the Court Layer and the Beautify Layer. The Court Layer is a park layer with standard court markings and coloring, but without any props on it. The freedom it offers for detailing our own courts will surely appeal players from the landscaping school. The Beautify Layer holds all the fences and peripheral props (Chairs, Rubbish Bins, Ground Textures). It's also a park layer with all the required items, which is very suitable for players who want a preset for immediate deployment. So if you're not going to use this layer, then you need not subscribe to the required items. Finally, you can combine the 2 parks into a full setup by superposition using Road Anarchy / Move It Mod.



Not really! They're optional! Just subscribe to the one according to the park layers that you need. If you don't like my preset (aka Beautify Layer), it's okay not to subscribe to any of the required items. Just that you have to spend time putting on all the stuff, like the fences, lights and chairs, on your own. Not to mention, the required items we've been using in this asset are actually some of the most commonly used ones for landscaping Japanese cities. So if you're someone interested in that genre, you should really consider subscribing them.




Yep, this asset is an accurate 1:1 replication of a semi-standard BWF badminton court*. A lot of work has been done just to make sure the dimensions, scaling and court markings are 99.999% similar to that in the real world. Under BWF's Laws of Badminton[system.bwfbadminton.com], a standard court is 13.4m long and 6.1m wide, which is about 1.675 by 0.7625 units in-game.

* A qualified court is usually in-door with special flooring.

* This asset does not have a net at the moment.




Quite a number of badminton courts in Hong Kong do not have the nets installed. Maybe the users have to borrow them from somewhere else!? But anyway, you can still play badminton without the net, isn't it?? (I'm trying to find an excuse for not making a prop for that...)
