Going Live With A Bang

Description
Terrorists have fortified themselves in a pair of apartments, and threaten to blow the building if their demands are not met. The building is being discretely evacuated, but the terrorists appear to have noticed the operation, and now their leader is threatening to set off the bomb.

After long time demand I've finally sat down and nudged one of the hostages so the bomb can be accessed before freeing them.

Wow that was some of the most fun I've had in Door Kickers, great map! I agree that the bomb and hostage placement should be tweaked to allow disarming the bomb before freeing the hostages. Here's a video of my 1st attempt: https://youtu.be/qjw1NWd1VaQ

A great map, really enjoy(ed) it. One thing though: the hostages and the bomb are a bit too close. You have to untie one hostage first before you get the defuse icon. Might be frustrating in case you are short on time.

@The Vigiler Take everything I say with a grain of salt, though. This is my first map. I'd suggest checking out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPuc4kJ6SCM . That video provides a tutorial which really helped me understand some of the facets of the Map Editor.

@The Vigiler Usually when you create a new map, there will be three light sources preplaced just outside the map: 2 "Light Ambiental" and 1 "Light Directional". The Light Ambiental provide ambiant light, one for outdoors and the other having "Is for indoors" checked in its "Light properties", making it indoors ambient lighting. To define what parts of the map are indoors go to "Buildings", choose the "Roof" asset. and draw all the areas that should have indoors lighting.

In this particular map, I set the indoors ambiant lighting to lowest Intensity possible, since I wanted my point light sources to really pop, and deleted the outdoors lighting since I wanted only the street lights to provide light out there.

I do suggest at least some ambient lighting in any area that you intend gameplay to happen, otherwise enemies can turn basically invisible to the player outside of areas of light.

Dear author, how do you set the ambient light? I'm learning to edit maps. I want to make some maps in the night environment. How can I set up the map editor to make the street or room dark like your map?
