Description
Deutsche Reichsbahn (East German) Class 175 SVT (rapid-traffic multiple-unit) 4 part DMU. Developed in the early 60s as VT 18.16 (1800 hp (increased to 2000 hp in production units), 160 kph top speed) and introduced in 1963, the vehicles were designed for fast international services and consisted of two motor cars with second class spaces, a restaurant and a mixed coach. The train was rail ferry certified. With the engines directly on the driving bogeys, they offered a very smooth ride and low noise levels, but the limited capacity often required the use of two units, which was not economic. Therefore, additional coaches were ordered which increased the seat number significantly (72 per extra coach, which was a 50% increase).

They were withdrawn from regular service in 1985, but still were used occasionally. At least one unit remained operational until 2003 with a heritage division, first of the Deutsche Reichsbahn and later with DB. This also saw them designated as Class 675 by DB. Currently, one unit is undergoing restoration with the intent of returning to international services as a heritage charter.

Included in this mod:

SVT 175 with the retrofitted additional middle cars as optional part of the consist.
Livery options include the regular paint-job and a prototype paint which was replaced as soon as the regular production units were delivered.

Each unit costs up to 5.3M and can carry up to 280 PAX with a daily cost of up to 5000. Two units can be paired.
