Remove Default Trains Mod

This mod let's you remove the default trains from your save games.
You don't need this mod to get rid of trains from a new game. To get rid of them in new games, you only need to do step 6 - 10.

**Please note, this only works if you are not using any of the vanilla trains in your game.**
I'm not responsible for breaking anything in your game. Do this at your own risk.



How to get rid of the default trains:

1) subscribe to this mod

2) create a backup of your savegame, so if things go wrong you can revert.

3) start your save, and enable this mod. (should be listed right at the top as '0. Remove Built-in Trains') All textures of the vanilla trains should now be replaced with 'To Be Removed'.

4) Disable this mod. The default trains are now gone. If you leave it like this, they will be back the next time you launch the game.

5) save the game (use a different name than your back up) and quit to desktop.

6) go to this folder: /steam/steamapps/common/nimbyrails/resources/trains

7) rename the mod.txt file (so you have a backup to revert if something goes wrong, or if you want to play with the default trains in the future)

8) create a new empty mod.txt file.

[9) from now on, if you launch the game it will always start up with this warning message: 'cannot load built-in mods'. Just click ok, your game will run fine.] <- as far as I know the game no longer gives an error message

10) open your save and the default trains should be gone.


Whenever the developer makes a change to the default trains, you will have to perform step 6 - 8 again.


Important: I strongly suggest making the back up of the mod.txt file. It is possible that you will have to enable the default trains again to be able to load track mods.
