What is on this map AS OF CURRENTLY?

The map consists in its current state with the following features!

A Drive in Theater -In it’s most basic form!
An Appliance Store (With a Mid Century Modern 1950s Design! Corner store with the blue exterior walls)
An Office Building (With a Mid Century Modern 1950s Design!)
A Civil Defense Office (To Simulate the Cold War Fear, Office building is unfurnished and doesn’t have a sign but it does include Civil Defense Posters in the front windows!)
A Laundry Mat (No Interior Yet)
A Barbershop (No Interior Yet)
A Retro Futuristic Themed Malt/Soda Shop (No Interior Yet)
A Diner (No Interior Yet)
A 1950’s style Kroger (No Interior Yet with Grocery Posters in the window!)
A Server Station (No Interior Yet)
A Reality Office (No Interior Yet)
A Bus Station (Unfinished design but is Spawn)
A Bike Shop (No Interior Yet)

A Men’s Department store (No Interior Yet or Sign, Is the Green building next to the Appliance Store

GREENVALE’S BACKSTORY!

Set in the middle of California in the fictional county of Green Springs County, Greenvale sits. As the most populated small town of Green Springs County, Greenvale has recently seen a prospering growth in both urban development and economic growth. In the post World War two living environment, Greenvale has been the ideal place to grow a future for your family and yourself.

Set in the 1950's this Map brings everything you love about current 1950’s Maps on Gmod and enhances it even more. A work in progress map is what remains at this moment, but we want to work with people who are interested in what to add to this 1950’s time capsule of a city. We would love to work with you guys on what you feel has been missing on the current 1950’s map as well as what could be enhanced about them!



FUTURE PLANS IN THE WORKS FOR THE MAP

The Old Part of Town!

Across the Bridge will be the Older Part of town. A cheaper place to live, with buildings built between the late 1800’s and 1930 and 1940s. A similar vibe to the old neighborhood in Mafia Two where Joe Lives is the general idea for how it will look!


1950’s American Suburbia

Outside the main city located in the empty lots will be a realistic 1950’s Suburbia. Filled with Mid Century Modern Ranch and Lustron homes, Suburbia will be the ideal place to start and raise a family. Filled with American Optimism and a family first idea, Greenvale’s Suburbia will be the ideal place to live. Distant from the hussle of the main city, you can live in peace and quiet with your new growing family.

How something you don’t like feel free to tell us as well! We want to make this a map people will want to see while keeping it as realistic to the 1950’s as possible!

Once again this is a Work in progress map and your feedback is much appreciated! Please keep in mind the things listed above so things like how the map runs at this moment is stuff we are aware of. The map isn’t optimized. This is more of wanting to see the general idea of what people think of the design and what to add or enhance!

EXTRA NOTE: This map isn’t being made for just development reasons of a 1950’s map. It is for a server however I plan to make more maps outside the server map! Keep up with my development in the development discord for other projects!!
