Description
This microcontroller displays a map on a monitor. The map is drawn around the vehicle equipped with this microcontroller, but you can project any location by touching the monitor. A destination setting function is also included.
It can be used on monitors of all resolutions. However, if your monitor is small, the map will be difficult to see, so I recommend using a large monitor.

Features
Touch the monitor to project where you want!
Touch the screen to project where you want!
When you touch the screen, the map will be redrawn with the touched location as the center.
Touch the screen to redraw the map around the touched location. Pressing the "R" button (reset button) displayed in the lower right corner will draw the map around the vehicle again.

Destination can be set!
When the map is showing the destination at the center, pressing the "D" button (destination button) in the upper right corner will make that point the destination, and a blue marker will appear, connecting the current location and the destination in a straight line. The distance to the destination will also be displayed in the upper left corner. When the vehicle is in the center, you can delete the destination by pressing the "C" button (clear button) in the upper right corner.

Stress-free map expansion and contraction
By changing the speed of zooming in and out according to the current map scale, it is possible to zoom in and out without being too fast when zooming in and too slow when zooming out. You can also set the initial scale from the properties.

How to use
For proper operation, please do the following
  • Connect the GPS and compass sensors to this microcontroller with the correct nodes.
  • Connect the GPS and compass sensors to the microcontroller at the correct nodes (note the orientation of the compass sensor).
  • Connect the composite signal from the monitor to the microcontroller and the video signal from the microcontroller to the monitor.

About the "Destination data" node
This composite signal node outputs data about the destination set by this microcontroller for the autopilot. The information to be output is as follows.
Signal type
Channel
Description
on/off
1
Outputs a signal when a destination has been set.
Number
1
Outputs the X-coordinates of the destination.
Number
2
Outputs the Y-coordinates of the destination.
Number
3
Outputs the distance to the destination in meters.

For all asking, the microcontroller is simply named 'Map' in the inventory. Its icon is a slightly scuffed navigation ping thingy
