Deep Space 4K (+Weather fix)

Description
High Resolution Realistic Skybox!

This is the updated version of the original Deep Space 4K, both mods work independently, you do not need the original one for it to work. (More details at the bottom)

- Includes custom, subtle shader settings for the environment
- Removes lens dirt, reduces vignette, while maintaining appeal
- Changes base color highlight for actions from yellow to silver

This skybox is a 4096 resolution meant to evoke that classic Star Wars, deep-space feel.

It's not supposed to be overly-saturated, flamboyantly colored, nebulaic space.
Nope. Just cold, dark space...as it should be!

I think it makes a good basis for world-building, ultimately I believe nebulae and space background should come from the game content, not a static image.

Thanks to Keen Software House and Xocliw[www.twitch.tv]

ABOUT THIS VERSION

This mod is the weather compatible version of the mod originally created by PhoenixTheSage and Doctor Octoganapus and all the credits should go to them. I only added weather support, so all the original work is theirs.

After more than an hour sorting out my plugins, I found that this mod affects how ore markers are shown on screen. I'm playing a server where uranium spawns on earth, and whenever I enable this plugin or the milkyway skybox I can't see uranium markers on spots where there is 100% uranium spawning.

The darker environment is supposed to be part of the mod. You can try the version of this mod with vanilla lighting ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=889703361 ) , but I'm not sure if it will fully work with the current version of the game.

If you find any specific bugs with that mod I can try fix them and re-upload an updated version.

This makes my world really dark where lights don't shine as bright and falls off really aggressively, sunlight is super yellow and things that should be dark grey turn black. Is there a way to tone it down so it has less of an overall effect?

Understood. Good job nonetheless

@akira I've been looking into what you said. Unfortunately, since I'm not the original author of the mod (as it's explained on the mod description), nor an experienced Space Engineers modder, I haven't been able to properly adjust the sun intensity. What I've been able to conclude is that the sun intensity is practically the same as the vanilla one, but since this skybox is much darker it becomes even more noticeable.

First of all, amazing lightining. I don't understand how this isn't a configurable option in the game. But.. the original sun is way better. In this mod it turns into a perfectyellow dot with exagerated god rays around it. Is there a way to maintain the original? Thank you

The original mod doesn't work with the automatic weather system, this means you need to apply weather effects manually. This is fixed with this version of the mod.
