KDY A-9 Vigilance

Star Wars Legends Imperial fighter designed by Kuat Drive Yards (KDY) to compete with and replace Sienar's TIE line. A light craft focused on speed and firepower, it boasted faster sublight speeds than the TIE Interceptor but fell short on maneuverability. Ultimately it didn't catch on due to not having notable advantages over the venerable TIE series, while sharing shortcomings such as lack of shields or hyperdrive.

Small, light interceptor with decent level speed. Has no shields but has a short-range warp drive. Armament consists of two laser cannons and one beam cannon. Many sections have a thin hull so extended dogfights are not recommended.
