Description
MAP PITCH :
A new cluster of mysterious Gravity Cubes has appeared in the Perfusa IV quadrant. This is the second time the phenomenon has been observed and this occurence is even more intriguing than the first one.
Your mission, brave astronaut, is to play a game of minigolf and have a bunch of fun!

FEATURES :
  • Full easy-medium difficulty 18 hole course... IN SPACE!
  • Uses my own custom 3D to create an entirely unique map and theme
  • Pars are fairly generous, however, only very few holes can be "aced" in 1 shot
  • Custom sound effects and lots of triggered events for enhanced experience
  • Main music "Between the Stars" by synthwave group Zombie Hyperdrive
  • A short extract from "Brain Power" by NOMA plays during hole 14's auto-segment
  • Other sound effects are either ones I purchased, or taken from Sonic the hedgehog 3
  • Default friction and bounciiness very strongly recommended!

MY COMMENTS :
When I did my map "Gravity Cubes", I knew that I only scratched the surface of what could be done with this concept. So I gave it another shot and tried to push the enveloppe even further than the first time. And, honestly, I think I have been fairly successful in that objective.

The gravity changes occur in much more varied setups, I have pushed the custom events and custom 3D models even further, and everything is a step up design wise. The map doesn't feel nearly as repetitive as "episode 1", while still keeping the "this feels like an entirely new Golf It theme" feeling from before.

However, with such a complex design, I kind of expect bugs and inconveniences to have escaped my playtesting. So feel free to report any bug or frustrating moment in the comments. As long as you do it without throwing insults at me, I promise to listen to your feedback and to do whatever I can to improve the map. :)

Main music is "Between the stars" by Zombie hyperdrive. The auto-segment uses an extract of "Brain Power" by NOMA. If you are a copyright holder of either music and want me to remove it, contact me and I'll do it immediately. I have an alternate fully open source music, but it wasn't as good and I'd like to keep using those clips if possible.

CHANGELOG :
Version1.1:
  • A quick update to fix the most glaring issues. Other updates for more minor things are likely later.
  • Fixed some "dips" (bad connection between two lane pieces resulting in a small hole).
  • Massively increased vertical sizes of play areas wherever the ball "drops", which should prevent high bounces in some places from counting as failed shots
  • Added text signs to warn players that entering "Anti gravity launchers" simultaneously with other players can have averse results if collision is enabled (might look into a better solution later, but for now this will do)
Version1.2:
  • Tried to edit the anti-gravity launchers by putting the rotating "spiral" inside a tube piece. Maybe this will improve the way collisions are handled in those parts. I am sadly not certain of the efficacy of this change, as i had lot of trouble reproducing the bug.

OK guys. I finally managed to reproduce the bug on hole 16. I have no idea what's causing it as the triggers are the same as the other holes, but I'll look into it.

Jinxed was correct, it is hole 16, and I did have collision off. Worked fine this time I played it.

Had a bunch of fun! Like SynthK said, the 16th hole kicked me out the first time but then worked a second time. I was playing alone, hope this helps!

@SynthK => Thanks. Your feedback on this map (and Gravity cubes 1) was quite useful.
But since hole 14 is the one with the "auto segment" that relies on boosters, you are right to say "I think". Anti-gravity holes are on holes 8, 12 and 16. So you're probably talking about 12 or 16.
I will take a look later, but I am not sure I'll even be able to replicate the situation. Were you playing with other people and collision?

Another Gravity Cubes, thank you, thank you, thank you. one small glitch, hole 14 (I think), the anti-gravity kicked me out of the hole instead of launching me. Worked correctly the 2nd time.
