[UCR] Maelstrom MK 1 Heavy Corvette

The Maelstrom MK 1 Heavy Corvette was built by the United Comrade Republic to protect mining operations from an increasing number of raids by pirate factions due to the ever increasing scale of mining operations by the UCR. The Maelstrom MK 1 Heavy Corvette was designed to hold a position so it lacks manoeuvrability and speed but has very heavy armour so it can take a lot of damage and has a good amount of firepower to take out enemy ships, it excels in being a blockade ship to prevent any pirates from getting to mining outposts but due to it's good firepower and heavy armour it is also able to compete with larger ships than small pirate vessels especially when paired up with other ships of it's class in a battle group. The Maelstrom being a Corvette does require assistance form larger vessels to travel across larger distances because it is not equipped with a jump drive this is because the ship is designed to hold a position not move long distances so when in position it can sustain itself for a long time without needing resupply as it has plenty of cargo storage for ammunition and supplies and has reactors for long term power usage. It is meant to be operated by a single crew member and can be operated to it's full potential by that one crew member making it a very efficient ship for it's job.
